Strong Medicine

Rosa Blasi is currently co-staring in the hit drama 'Strong Medicine' with Patricia Richardson.  Pat's character Dr. Andy Campbell replaced Janine Turner's character Dr. Dana Stowe in the middle of season 3 when Turner decided to leave the show due to her desire to devote more time to her daughter, Juliette.  Strong Medicine is about 2 very different women's health specialists (Dr. Dana Stowe and Dr. Luisa Delgado) who are merged into the same clinic.  Lu's mother died of breast cancer when she was young, so she came to live with her grandmother in Philadelphia.  She ended up pregnant, so she dropped out of high school at 16 to have her baby.  But then she got her life back on track and ended up putting herself through med school.  Dana came from a long line of medical doctors in her privelaged family.  She was convinced she was going to find a cure for breast cancer.  But then in the middle of season 3, her life took a complete 180 that no one ever thought possible.  She adopted an HIV positive infant and her sister, Annie.  She left the clinic and moved back home to Virginia to raise her girls.  Her replacement was Colnel Dr. Andy Campbell, fresh from active duty.  She has a lot of different views on things, and Lu has to keep reminding herself that they are both doctors.  Tune in to Strong Medicine every weekday at 4pm and Sundays at 9 andn 10pm on Lifetime channel.
